Who We Are

The Associated Parent Team at Sequoya Elementary

The Sequoya Elementary APT is a parent-led organization dedicated to enriching the educational experience for every student at Sequoya Elementary School in Scottsdale, Arizona. We work alongside teachers and staff to fund programs, coordinate volunteers, and build a strong, connected school community.

Our efforts support classroom resources, special events, foreign language programming, and much more — all made possible through parent involvement and community generosity.

The Sequoya Elementary APT thrives on the energy and dedication of parent volunteers who give their time to strengthen the school experience for every Stallion. From coordinating classroom baskets and spirit wear sales to organizing special events and fundraising campaigns, volunteers are the backbone of the organization. Whether serving as a room parent, chairing a committee, or helping with a single event, each contribution makes a meaningful difference. The APT provides a directory and regular electronic communications to keep families informed about upcoming opportunities to get involved, ensuring that every parent can find a way to participate that fits their schedule and interests.

Fundraising efforts led by the APT directly support critical educational resources that benefit all students at Sequoya Elementary. Donations help provide classroom supplies, reading program materials, technology enhancements, and instructional aides that enrich the learning environment. Arizona's tax credit program offers families a way to contribute to these initiatives while receiving a dollar-for-dollar credit on their state taxes. The APT carefully allocates funds according to an approved budget, with transparency maintained through published meeting minutes and regular board discussions. Every dollar raised stays within the school community, funding the programs and resources that make Sequoya an A-rated destination for elementary education.
