For those that can, please plan to walk with Sequoya’s teachers, parents, and community every WEDNESDAY in April.
What it is: The thought behind a Walk-In vs. a Walkout….Our Community is coming together to show support for Sequoya’s school staff and funding education while NOT disrupting education.
Where to Meet: Blessed Sacrament Church (just south of Sequoya on 64th street). Park in SOUTH parking lot. Here we will meet as a group and begin our walk to Sequoya while holding signs.
We will meet at 8:00am and begin our walk shortly after!
What to wear/bring: Wear red. If you’d like, please bring signs. Sign suggestions include “I support #RedforEd”, “Fully Fund our Classrooms”, “Respect the Classroom”. Students are welcome to participate with parents.
How you can help:
*Spread the word – EVERYONE in our community is affected by our public schools, which directly affect the appreciation or depreciation of home values in our neighborhoods! The more people who walk, the more it will help!
*Sign Here for each day you walk in order to track attendence for the Arizona Education Association
*Sign Here to show that you support the #RedforEd demands and spread the word – the more signatures, the better!
